  • Unlike Maduro, trump won his election. ;)

  • Those damn republicans stopped us from getting universal healthcare when Obama was president and the dems had the house and Senate. Stopped them from guaranteeing abortion in federal law like RBG specifically said they would need to do, too!

...with their mind control, or something.

  • Yeah. Trump told you not to rely on Russian gas and did you listen? No, you didnt and now you buy Russian gas (through India), thus funding Russia, while telling us to shoulder the majority of the burden of funding Ukraine. Just for one example.

  • During peacetime, all the corn fields kept operational with subsidy that just create corn which is fed to livestock seem like a waste.

But if China (or anybody else) pulls a fucky-wucky and makes it difficult to get food imported from outside the US, we slaughter the livestock and then have enough corn to feed the whole nation (and a lot of our allies). Without missing a beat.

  • I can't believe he hasn't decided to work under a pseudonym by now.

  • I love that they apparently decided to base the plot on the ghost of Kiev meme.

  • Yeah, forums exist but they have a real hard time growing their userbase these days. It's just more deliberate to visit a particular forum's website, then usually click on a subforum, then look at a thread, and then see its contents. Then you might be on page 37 of a thread and people are all discussing that post from page 33. It's slow compared to something like Reddit/Lemmy or Xitter style sites that put the content right in your face without having to look around.

I'm prone to falling for this myself even as I lament forums growing quiet. But I guess the best thing to do is link directly to forum threads from other social media and hope enough users trickle in.

What I REALLY hate is Discord servers replacing forums for things like video game FAQs and it's really hard to find the latest announcement, bug workaround, or whatever without butting into the conversation and asking (you're the 48th person to ask today and people are a little annoyed).

  • Actually, was that a senate vote? I thought it was an executive action.

  • If youre playing on Steam, keep in mind theres regular Overlord 1 and Overlord: Raising Hell. You only want to play Raising Hell, which includes the expansion pack. That expansion pack adds a section to the end of EACH story chapter, rather than being self contained.

If you play Overlord 1 and then try to play Raising Hell, you'll be faced with a complete play through of the whole game just to see the expansion content. Theres no need to own base Overlord 1, or to play it if you have it.

  • :)

  • Not... Sure if this counts as "changing that".

  • Yeah, how is the Switch 2 like the best selling console with 2 games? (Plus access to the Switch 1 library but even then they want to charge $10 to "upgrade" games you already own???)

  • Who the hell is Atari these days? I remember hearing about the Atari name being sold to like 6 different international investment funds in sequence, and that was in 2016 or something.

  • Been on kiwi farms. There is no "we're swatting these guys" thread. And there is a very detailed and well-cited thread doxxing torswats and documenting and archiving the attempt to tie their actions to KF. You literally can just go read it. Please do. The Torswats/Alan Winston thread.

No amount of "uhhhhh they're untrustworthy and not all of them are left wing" is sufficient to beat the clear documentation. Because of his arrest, trial, and conviction, much of what is in the thread can also be verified by law enforcement sources. If you believe otherwise, you are a victim of internet misinformation.

And yes, I still call bullshit on the made-up musk Nazi salute from the same political machine that brought us "everyone making Nazi salutes at the Palestine protests is fine, actually" as well as "if you sit at a table with a Nazi, then you're a Nazi".

  • They don't swat people. Mass swatter Torswats (which turned out to be a team of a few people) tried to blame it on them for a little bit, but was ultimately caught.

  • Enough of skin tone mini figures, make everyone yellow again.

  • Lmao no. I'm just saying, I sure dont expect censoring GTA to work the second time around.

Anybody played Jagged Alliance 3 yet?

I haven't! But it is tempting me because JA2 sure was cool...

Reddit gaming discussion going as usual...

No, I didn't see any "pedos" in the thread, but all the upvotes comments were against the changes and i suspect that's who is being referred to.

Surveilling the Gamers: Analysis of in-game data gathering

Crazy to think that this stuff can potentially end up tied to your identity and used for advertising, or even (in theory) other purposes like credit worthiness or a job suitability assessment.

"For example, a recently patented profiling method uses play traces to de- termine whether a user is frugal (e.g., indicated by saving in-game money even in the face of attractive spending options), fiscally responsible (e.g., indicated by investing carefully and focusing on strategically important purchases), or wasteful (e.g., indicated by taking financial risks, spending money quickly, and buying items not relevant to the goals of the game) [19]. The method also aims to evaluate whether a player is “trading-conscious”, i.e., fit for certain finan- cial trading products, and to detect an “eagerness to go after new products or services” based on how players develop their in-game character. Even non-financial aspects of a game can allow insights into a user’s money- management style. The above p
